Letter Writing Campaigns…

There are many services, both free and pay-for that will help one contact RW through e-mail.  This is a very appealing approach for obvious reasons… that it can cost virtually nothing.  If you are just kicking around the idea that you might be interested in RW perhaps this seems an ideal method to ‘kick the tires’ so to speak in this endeavor.

So what are the obstacles?  First, one has to separate the chaff from the wheat by brushing aside the Fat Yuri’s that are drawn like flies to online newcomers.  Second, one may have a language barrier problem with the RW of choice.  Additionally, one may write e-mails and make phone calls for a year, but that will not guarantee mutual chemistry or love once you visit.

So what is the cure?  First, Fat Yuri’s are easy to filter out as long as one has his head screwed on straight and is thinking clearly.  Second, the language barrier is not so much a problem if you enlist a third party translator service.  However, there is no guaranteed method to assure chemistry or love.

That’s the rub. How many trips is one willing to make in the quest for that elusive spark between a man and woman.  IIRC, Agencyscam Jim made some calculations that on average a WM has to meet ~25 RW before finding the right one.  Do you feel luck that you can beat these odds?

There are several ways to reduce the number of trips.  Sort of like making your own luck.  One can improve their odds by looking for RW that are similar to what one can attain in one’s hometown.  Also, keeping the age gap to less than 10 years would certainly help.  This would help insure that the RW would be receptive to the WM.  The problem with these suggestions is that few WM would follow it.

There is nothing like a gorgeous 20 years younger RW that can spark an immediate flame in most WM’s hearts.  For many WM, knowing this fact (and I say this loosely) they will not be reasonable.  Who will fly half way around the world for ‘reasonable’?  To spend the money and effort that must be spent to bring a RW into their homeland and set up shop, few will settle for ‘reasonable’.

This endeavor is high risk to begin with.  IMO, all things being equal, a letter writing campaign does little to improve one’s odds of success unless one is very skilled at weeding out the Fat Yuris, is keen on how to develop sight-unseen relationships and is ‘reasonable’.  Are there such WM?  Yes, there are many such WM/RW couples that have very successful marriages.  The question is, “Are you greedy?” or “Are you looking for arm candy?”  If the objective answer is “yes” then perhaps a letter campaign will cost you “mucho dinaro” down the road.  You would be better served going the full service agency route.

What do full service agencies provide... education and experience.  I'm not talking about them... I'm talking about the clients.  When WM are exposed and saturated by having gorgeous RW around them 24/ 7 for 10 days (preferably longer)  the WM will have a better chanced at shrugging those beauties off for something deeper beyond just their looks.  Also, WM will develop a much better handle of how things work in a Russian relationship.  The flames kindled in WM by the youth of RW will have had some time to subside.  Then the WM maybe able to distinguish between lust and love. This is something that most likely can't be done by mail alone and can't in all likelihood be gleaned on meeting a few select RW.

dwfunk,

Hmmm... I read the snail-mail link.  This is an approach that makes good reading as to the details required to go this route.  It is very work and detail intensive on the part of the WM.  I applaud circumventing the agencies as much as possible.  There fees are indeed high.  Still, one must weigh carefully the results.  A person using this snail mail approach can save perhaps $2000 or more on the first visit alone.  Then on the other hand, what is the likelihood on meeting 'Miss Right' after meeting 3-5 RW?

IMO, if one is on a severe budget and is in no rush to get married and is willing to do a lot of tedious work and is very disciplined and reasonable, then this method may prove to be a possible option.  Even still there are more caveats.  In meeting 3 to 5 RW per visit, one can potentially have to make many visits before finding 'Miss Right'.  If this is the case, the advantage of great savings maybe erased completely.  It is even possible that this approach can cost even more than if one when to a successful agency visit.

This is why I lean to the agency route.  I find that even reasonable WM that go to Russia become less reasonable... like a child in a candy shop for the first time.

P.S.  In the beginning of this strategy it is stressed that one should pay no heed to the geographical location of the RW, yet at the end they say that in effect geographical location is an important consideration:?
