WMVM…
Write Many Visit Many (WMVM) is a popular method for those that would like to keep the risks low. IMO, it is a proven approach that maximizes your bang for the buck, as well as, weeding out unsuitable RW at the same time.
This method is very straight forward. There are many variations on this theme, however the core description is to write many RW until you narrow the field to a hand full that you are willing to visit on a trip. This approach has "created by man" marks branded all over it. It is not particularly kind to women in general, but we are not talking about women in general... these are RW, a whole different species. Also, when something works well why tinker with it.
This strategy, though deceptively simple, has its own special set of draw-backs. First, RW like to think that you will be visiting only them, exclusively. That they are so special that you will gladly drop a couple grand to visit only them. Granted, this is fairy tale stuff, nevertheless many RW believe in a fairy tale life for themselves. IMO, it is best to state upfront that your intent is to visit other RW on your visit. There will be some RW that will stop writing to you if you mention this. Don’t worry, there is a surplus of RW that will be available despite this turn-off. Also, Those RW that loose interest probably think too much of themselves in the first place. If they think so highly of themselves in Russia, it will likely be a disaster when they arrive in the west. Also, scammers are interested in a sure thing. By being honest and stating your intent, you automatically weed many scammers and a whole class of unsuitable RW.
Another advantage of visiting many RW is that you will get a handle of the playing field in Russia. A RW mind set on the dating field is a bit different. You will acquire a good working knowledge of how to approach RW in general. The more comfortable you are around RW the more they will want to be around you. This approach is especially well suited for WM that are a bit rusty and/or lack experience in the dating arena. This is a way to get a crash course with low risk. For those more accomplished, they can start out running an may find their soulmate even faster.
If one wants to have a good crash course education, a reputable introduction agency is the way to go. They can set one up to correspond with as many RW that one can handle. And on a visit, can arrange up to ~8 or so meeting/dates with RW each day. This education is expensive but may be well worth it for the WM that has little time in the selection process.
