Hello, All,
I am glad I found this forum as well as Jim's site. Like the typical AM, I am divorced after 20 years. My ex felt God was leading her to divorce... interesting. I am 50 years old and make a very good living. I am not rich, but I can maintain a comfortable lifestyle. I have 3 sons from my prior marriage and my oldest lived with me. He is 17 and he knows I am searching abroad.
Anyways, I started looking at the whole RW idea last year. I registered with GlobalLadies.com and found it to be less than ideal. At the beginning of this year I registered with dream-marriage.com (any feedback on them would be most appreciated) and have met several ladies there. I have done the whole e-mail/chat with several ladies. This last June I had one young lady who was quite persistent for seveal days inviting me to chat with her. I will be honest and tell you all she is 22 yrs old. Well, we seemed to have really hit it off. I was very concerned about the age differnce, and still am to some extent. I talked with her long about it and she gave me the answer of "if I love you, then age is not big dea." Again, any feedback is very very welcome. She ahs never asked me for any money. She does want me to come visit her in Nikolaev this next year.
So, any feedback you all may want to offer is very welcome. I do not want to go through all the time and expense just to make a mistake.

Welcome to the RWPrimer!
From your first post it looks like you dodged the most obvious traps. Good going so far.
About the age thing... With Russian Women (RW) anything is possible, however your hesitation is well founded. Your age difference is 28. Just going by the numbers this is way out on the tail of successful marriages. In other words, without anything else other than this one fact, these are long odds. Also at the age of 22 a RW is looking for her first marriage and typically they don't know what is right for them as a partner. In her eyes she may love you now but two years later she my change her views on that.
Many of your questions are answered in these forums already. More on the age difference topic can be found here. The best thing to do is read as much as you can on the forums. you will get the straight info from them... and no matter where you get your info from , alway consider the source.

Hey, Ronin,
Is it ok for me to ask the forum about specific sites? I am just a little curious. In fact, let me ask you a question...
Do any of the agencies in the FSU reimburse the girls for things like keeping a man in a chat session? Are there incentives for the girls to get a man to spend money in the sites?
Just curious about this due to the behavior of a couple of different girls.

We have a forum for agency info here. Your site questions really belong there.
As for the chat sessions... I never was a fan of them and have never used them for the reason of the lack of authentication. There is only the reputation of the agency to assure that the RW in the database are real and without any false designs. The problem is that many Russian based establishments don’t operate with the same business ethics that we are accustom to in the States. Such establishments can imply that RW must respond to a client (i.e. email, call, chat, etc.) else their profile may get “misplaced” in the database. In Russian, where people still get knocked-off on a regular basis, such minor coercions are well within the realm of possibility. Along these lines, any possible combinations of strategies are possible so long as they net a profit.
Also, even with the most reputable agencies there can be no guarantee that a RW herself is being fully honest. With such concerns it is best to actually see RW in the flesh before getting into it too deep. That is why I recommend a visit. Typically you will know if a RW is being on the up and up within the first hour as opposed to 3 to 6 months of getting your hopes up plus a visit to verify the facts.

P.S. Russia is such a different plane of existance. They deal with hard cold reality every day. One way to look at it is that they have developed a "Show Me" attitude. A RW doesn't believe that a WM would really visit them until she saw him get through Russian Customs. Some RW would still be is a state of shock. WM should adopt the same thinking... and more. A relationship with a RW is not real until you make personal contact. Then, at that point it is time to find out whether it is a real relationship or something else.
