This is a link to an article in the Saint Petersburg Times. It relates the thoughts of a RW who immigated to Sweden to marry a RM. Though the situation is not in line with RW/WM marriages, the thoughts are meaningful and insightful.

Interesting, actually have met some Swedes in Moscow and most of their attitudes were that the rest of Sweden would laugh at them if they took home Russian wifes -- although this is from 2003 (but don't think it would change too much now). The Swedes I met were quite prejuidiced against Russia in general, one a student said "I can't stand the negativity here." (personally I found/find Moscow to be a very exciting city). Another was complaining against the "Slavic mentality," which I suppose groups together Poland and Czech Republic, etc with Russia, don't know about the accurancy of that statement.
