WM don’t corner the market on loneliness. This is a big problem in Russia as well, described in a Mosnew report on dating. The article supports that 50% of Russians are single and have a difficult time finding the right person to connect with. However, unlike Americans, 70% of Russians are open to meeting new people in public places. This makes RW very amenable and approachable to connecting with WM if they can be forward enough to take the chance. Read the article.

Yes, it's interesting, on this I think the typical Russian woman's ideas on lonliness are condractory. I lived with one RW in Moscow, and she would tell me "The greatest fear of a Russian woman is to live alone." She would say this one minute. Then the next minute, she would be yelling at me ceaselessly for suggesting that we move the washing machine, and/or for playing an Arnold Schwarzenagger DVD, when previously she liked him - -but now is tired and "I should know that." When I suggested that it wasn't pleasant to live with someone who is angry a large percentage of the time for no reason, then she'd say, "Oh, of course, I understand, I can see that." Then next minute she'd be yelling once again that I broke the toilet, etc, then the next minute saying "Of course you didn't break the toilet." (and I didn't break the toilet)
Ok, that's an extreme case, but I've found a lot of my friends both Russian and from the US, had the same problem -- the women just didn't make sense, in terms of when they got angry, and when the explained things, in a lot of their behavior.
The best advice I got on RW was from a Russian (actually Ukrainian) teacher in Odessa, about 40 years old. She told me (after I said I was dating a lot of Russian and Ukrainians) "Be careful, I don't even know what I'm going to do, most of the time." Exactly.
