I have been looking into the possibility of a RW as a possible wife. Does anyone have any input on Russian attitudes towards non-whites. I have heard that Russians can be prejudiced, if not racist, towards non-whites. I am Mexican-American and my skin is dark brown.

Welcome to the RWPrimer!

The issue of race with any group of people is a touchy one. I think it is fair to say that they (RW) are no more prejudice than any other group of people (i.e. Mexican-Americans).

Look at it another way. RW are far removed from Mexico and have little knowledge about them, however most response favorably to those of Spain as being Western European. More than likely RW will assume that you are kin to them, which maybe more of a plus than being American.

Currently, I'm matching up one of my best friends (Mex-Amer) to a RW. This is certainly not an issue for her.
