First Year Statistics…

Starting out in late January of this year, it seemed that making a credible site that can be informative and yet entertaining would be a huge undertaking.  There are so many unknowns.  I started out with an idea for a non-commercial site that is more than just a forum.  A place where those that are truly interested in the RW endeavor can hang their hat.  From there they can learn from the insightful experiences of the moderator topics, as well as, those of our growing member knowledge base.  Unlike other sites, I believe that the internet should be fully utilized and will encourage all the explore using our pre-selected links.

Ok, the stats are as follows:

Visitors           Visits          Pages Viewed           Posts
>17,000         >23,000        >101,000              >744

To me these are awesome numbers considering we started out cold.  We are reaching out and getting our story heard, but we could do much more.  We need to spread the word throughout the entire internet.  I hope that the RWP can count on our members and guests to drop a good word or two in other related areas of the internet.  Word of mouth is so much more powerful than anything I could do.  There is no higher honor than being praised by a member or guest.

Also, I would like to thank my Russian Wife for her input, insights and topics.  She is a continual source of information.  Also, She puts up with my, “… using the computer too much.”  Indeed, this site format is very time intensive, however it is well worthwhile when I know it is helping many WM make the best decisions an perhaps a longer happier life with a RW.

Again, thanks for the inputs and contributions of all our members for making such an open and inviting site.

Happy New Year!!!
Ronin

Second Year Statistic…

The year 2007 was marked by many events for this site.  Most startup sites burn out and fade from existence by the first year anniversary.  Many more never catch the wave for one reason or another and languish in obscurity in by the second year.  I’m pleased to say that this is not the case for this modest forum.

Despite threats of legal action and a substantial decrease in new content (spending more time with my family) in the second half of the year, the site has done very well by my estimates.  The results are as follows:

Year-end        Visitors           Visits          Pages Viewed           Posts

 2006              17,000            23,000           101,000                  744
 2007                  68,000            89,000          432,000                 1050

(numbers are accumulative from beginning of site formation)

To put it into words, the RWPrimer has seen over a three-fold increase in interest with a 50% decrease in new content!  This tells me volumes.  Readers are interested in quality and not sheer volume.  As such I will continue to endeavor to polish and update the core content while adding new content that reflects the changing nature of pursuing a Russian bride.

Thanks to all the guests and members for your interest.  Please plug this site whenever appropriate.  And above all, follow your dreams.

3rd Year Statistics

The year 2008 has been a very troubled year... economically speaking.  Still, in these troubled times, the heart knows no bounds.   The adventure goes on and WM continue the trek for the quest of RW.  However, WM can't ignore their wallet or more precisely what they may lack in it!

I will admit that most of the previous year I have been adding links to existing content, chasing down dead links and straining out the spammers.  Still, the foundational topics really don't change in message and are as true as ever before.  The existing content is the bedrock of why our members and guests continue to utilize this site as a "Cliff Notes" or "RW for Dummies" to RW.

Year-end        Visitors           Visits          Pages Viewed           Posts

 2006              17,000            23,000           101,000                  744
 2007                  68,000            89,000           432,000                1050
 2008                104,000          153,000          774,000                1234
(numbers are accumulative from beginning of site formation)

For 50% less posts in 2008, the RWP experienced a slight drop in visitors and visits with a significant increase in 'pages viewed'.  In a nut shell, I read the numbers as telling me that WM are doing more homework before thinking about dropping their bankrolls in the RW endeavor.  This is good news.

Again, I would like to thank my members and guests for their contributions in making this a 'must visit site'.

2009 and 2010 statistics:

As we all know, the mortgage crisis has hit hard on the quest for true love.  We all have to attend to our "thing at home" before wandering around the world. Still, that doesn't stop men from reading and... well... less writing about it.

Year-end        Visitors           Visits          Pages Viewed           Posts

 2006
              17,000            23,000           101,000                  744
 2007                  68,000            89,000           432,000                1050
 2008                104,000          153,000          774,000                1234
    2009                 141,000          223,000       1,104,000               1,354

2010                189,000           319,000       1,430,000               1,452
(numbers are accumulative from beginning of site formation)

It seems that activity in the forums have leveled out a bit.  However, since the economy maybe recovering... a little, things should pickup.
