The below is a copy of instructions for the most common login and maybe registration problems.

Q:  I registered  But could not login?

A:  Before you are fully registered, you must click on the activation link in the activation email that is automatically generated by the RWPrimer.

Q:  Why didn't I receive an activation email?

A:  Registration problems often are from delayed or missing activation emails (e-mails that contain a link that will activate their 'member status') to our new members.  This occurs mostly from servers/systems that originate in Easter Europe (mostly from free Russian e-mail services).  E-mails have been delayed as long as a few days or so.  Other members don't receive their verification e-mails at all.  This could be from member's computers or their connected network systems that have high security settings or other protective programs that prevent transmission of cookie carrying links in emails.  Check Your bulk-mail and spam-mail directories for your activation e-mails.  They may have been redirected there by such protective programs.

If all else fails,  email Ronin at Ronin_RWP@SBCGlobal.net with as much of the following info:

  1. Name:
  2. Date of initiating registration:
  3. Email address you registered from:
  4. Email address registered (address typed in the registration form):
  5. Did you get an activation e-mail?
  6. Did you click in on the activation link in the activation e-mail?
  7. Where you able to log-in to the RWPrimer?
  8. Details of the registration process that you can recall that seemesd to be a problem:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are having login problems, please follow the instructions below. Try to login after completing each step and stop when you can login successfully.

First of all, if you see a "reset the cookie used by this board" link on your board's login page, try using it. If after using this link, the problem persists, you might need to check your web browser settings.

    Internet Explorer 6 Users:

  9. Go to Tools > Internet Options, click Delete Cookies and then OK.

  10. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy, and make sure that the privacy setting is set to Medium. If not, set it to medium, and click OK.

  11. Go to Tools > Internet Options > General, click the Settings button, and make sure that "check for newer versions of stored pages" is set to automatically. If not, set it to "automatically", and click OK.

FireFox Users:

Go to Tools > Options > Privacy. Click on Cookies to open its options, and make sure that Allow sites to set cookies is checked. If this setting is already checked, click the Clear button next to Cookies to clear cookies.

Nothing worked?

If changing your browser settings did not help, check whether you are using a third-party Internet firewall/security/antivirus software. Some of these software may block cookies, and cause login problems

Guests,

About 40% of guests that attempt to register are unable to login.  This is because they never receive our automated activation emails.  After numerous complaints from guests and my subsequent complaints to my forum software platform, the problem has been found.

ISPs provide most of the email services and associated utilities to filter out spam and other likely unwanted emails.   When these ISPs blacklist addresses, their emails either get redirected to spam folders, bulk folders or simply don't appear at all.  Despite having the addresses being removed from an ISP's blacklist, they are put back on in short order.  This is a wide spread problem for all forums site.  One can guess that because forums can generate a huge amounts of automated emails for activations and reminder emails, that they may fit the profile of a spam site.

Currently, there is no easy solution.  If you don't receive and activation email here's what  you can do:

1)  Open a gmail account and register through it, (it seems that no ISPs are blocking them, now).

2)  Contact me directly at Ronin_RWP@SBCGlobal.net and I can open an account for you manually.
