My wife and I (we share a generation age difference) visited Las Vegas for the first time this past summer. My wife had a blast checking out the attractions and I had a blast checking out other people’s reactions to my wife. It was 117 degrees that week and we hoofed it all the way down the strip. She wore her typical Russian summer apparel of a sheer short skirt, see-through blouse and high heels. After 3 years she still fits into that size 3 skirt. That in itself is not extraordinary… the fact that she also stands 6’1” in heels does. So when she walks down the strip, it’s hard to miss her. It seemed that every guy had a sore rubberneck in her wake. The thing I had to get used to is being treated like I was the invisible man even though we were walking arm in arm. The wives and GFs of the tongue dragging troop would make their displeasure known by speaking disapproving comments under their breathe. Ah… the disapproval of AW tell me that my venture to Russia was the right path for me. I certainly didn’t want to fall into the same mistake that I did on my first try at marriage.
