Russian Women Love Story Telling…
For the longest time, Russia was primarily a rural land with a rich oral history. Story telling was a very integral part of the culture. Though now there is virtually 100% literacy, the story telling tradition is still fundamental within most families.
You may marry a sexy doctor or Russian literature grad and they will still ask you to tell them a bedtime story. Perhaps we WM provide them with the security and protection they had when they were young… or perhaps they just want to hear our voices as they are lulled to sleep. Regardless, it is a pleasure to sing a familiar tale or two. If not you will learn a few tales from them.
Another thought is that they are having their husbands polish up on their story telling skills in preparation for the children that are surely to come. Again, passing on the tradition.
