RW and Home Organizing…

In Russia, women often live in very cramped quarters. Storage space is at a premium so they use every possible nook and cranny.  In doing so, access to items can be at chore with countless stacks and layers of stuff.  When a new item is acquired, it’s not unusual to re-organize everything to make room for it.  Organizing aids and the like are rarely used since they take up even more space and RW have to lose precious money for the privilege.

In the States, this mindset is slow to fade so when your RWife takes over the house or apartment to cozy it up into a home, don’t be surprised at their efficiency at organizing things.  You will be stunned at how much a single closet can hold, let alone a whole house of closets.

Initially, your RW will be amazed at how you waste space and set out to right your wrongful ways.  The salt will move to the pepper shaker: cosmetics will go ibto the medicine cabinet; medicine in the kitchen cabinet; canned fruits in the garage where your tools used to be and your tools… well, they will be on the back patio since tools obviously don’t belong in the house but in the shed that you haven’t built yet.

Also, the rule, “possessions grow to occupy the available space” is a universal law.  However, the difference with a RWife is that she will only stop when all available storage space had the density of depleted uranium or has appears of a pallet of interlocking bricks.

For a RW everything has its place.  Unfortunately for the WM that place may not be a convenient place nor accessible place or even a known place.  This is especially true with the advent of Costco and other warehouse stores.  With the storage needs of bulk items, RW may distribute these throughout the house or in the nether regions.

For instance if you become short of TP while doing your business, guess where she neatly packed that 60 roll pack that you bought last week.  Just imagine the least convenient, least accessible and least known place… and that is perhaps where it will be.  If you have a back 40, then you will be hobbling out there for relief.  If she is doing her business and there is a shortage of TP, guess who will again be hobbling?

You may think that she is playing some kind of shell game with you… she is not.  If more room is needed to keep things more convenient, it is up to the man to determine that and take action on that front.  Perhaps it means getting a bookcase, more storage furniture, renting public storage, adding a room or moving to a larger place.  If accessibility becomes a problem, the man should suggest getting organizing aids.  As with any purchase, the husband must go to approval of all purchases otherwise she may not want to buy anything at all on her own since she will not see these things as necessary.  The RW is used to having only a fixed amount of space and she will use it wisely… and her wisdom may confound you.

Oh GOSH!  I would LOVE it if a girl organized stuff!  I am CONSTANTLY at a loss.  My mother tells me I don't even fold my blankets right, and she's correct, compared to how girls do it, it's completely haphazard!

Tell me honestly.  If I had enough money to marry a Russian girl, bring her over, ect. ect.  Would she be unhappy if I'm still in school (Doctorate in Psychology/Medicine), maybe living in an apartment or dorm?  We wouldn't go without or anything, compared to Russia it'd still be BALLER I'm sure.  (I'm NOT going to marry one of those Moscow jeans wearing 'New' Russians, lol)

What about if I taught over there for a year or so, married her, and then we came back and lived in the dorm or an apartment?  Houses are pretty expensive while you're working on your doctorate.

Organized!  Oh, yes!  and she might even iron your shorts!  ;)

Living in an apartment is no big deal.  Living in a dorm in today's schools is practically apartment living, is it not?

Getting a Doctorate will be a HUGE plus.  Even though their education system is as corrupt as the rest of their society, the more education the better!

You would go a LONG way to winning a ladies heart if you lived over there for a short time, and especially if you married her there.  You would then use just the I-130 process to bring over your spouse.

Down side; student income isn't much.  Be prepared for that to scare some away.  (about $300 month in Russia)

Actually a really good scenario would be to go over there to teach for a year or so.  Then you are exposed to lots of nice young ladies, and one that latches on to you in that environment has already accepted you in your present situation.
