Why are Russian Women no shows…
When one is visiting through an agency, chances are that you will have your agenda full before you depart. One will have perhaps up to 7 or 8 meetings each day. You may think that this is too much for a person to handle. Don’t worry; things are not always packed, as they may seem to be. Sometimes up to 50% will be ‘no shows’ or ‘cancellations’.
Regardless of the reason why one doesn’t meet the RW that is scheduled, there are two general related reasons why this happens.
The first is timing. Just as in fishing, when it comes to meeting RW, there is a season for it. For instance, if one is primarily looking at RW that are going to school (college, university, etc.) then one needs to schedule visits around the students’ workload. Stay way from exam weeks, mid terms, and the month before the end of an academic year. Target after such events or at the beginning of the academic year.
One may think that school vacations maybe the best time. This is not necessarily true. RW have a Russian and family life. Her parents may have planned to go to the dacha or Sochie for the week that you expect to be there. Or the RW may have been enticed by her GFs to go on an excursion together that week. If one visits during a slow time of the academic year, then one is almost guaranteed that the RW with be available to meet. At least this way they will be in the same town.
This seemingly spontaneous planning aspect of Russians in general is a part of their culture. More with the older generation than the younger, however this idea is still handed down through the families. It can be attributed to many things. Perhaps from the old Soviet days where to plan a trip in advance invites scrutiny and envy in a society where everyone is suppose to be equal. There will always be others that would like to take that away from another in the then ‘everything is a sum zero game, Soviet world’. Such thinking still persists today in great abundance.
The other reason is than the RW may think that the WM is not quite her cup of tea. So why should she agree to initially meet? There are many reasons. She may really believe that the WM is a possible match, however is indeed marginal. She maybe hedges her bets on how to fill her time in the future (As not missing out on a good thing albeit a WM or an unexpected excursion). Also, many RW are conditioned to be very kind in rejecting a man’s request. Another reason is that sometimes agencies can exert implied pressures to have RW agree to a meet. This can range anything from having less preference to potentially getting blackballed.
There is a third reason as well. In general, Russia’s infrastructure has been crumbling for some time. Very few things run on time. So if there is one thing that you can depend on is that things will go wrong. And in the mix your date will be late or have to postpone a meeting or even cancel. Occasionally, RW will have a family or medical emergency. However, RW often use this as a soft excuse to not meet at the last minute.
All in all, one has to think of the type of RW that one will be meeting to maximize the utilization of time. Any way you cut it, an agency visit is big bucks. With a little thinking things out, you can increase your odds of the best match possible by meeting the most amount of RW.
Remember what the goal is for first visits. Typically it is to meet as many RW as possible in the shortest amount of time. With this experience under your belt and a feel of the comparative attributes of many RW, one can start to make a good decision on what is the best match.
