Russian Women Comparing Notes…
If one is embarking on an agency visit, it is understood that your days will able packed with back-to back-meetings. Often the interpreters will schedule them on the hour with the meetings lasting 30 minutes. Why is that? It is said that in a court of law, a client that represents himself has a fool for an attorney. An agency affords you with the buffer of an office and interpreters to insure that the RW you meet will not be bumping into each other. Such would be awkward and embarrassing situation for the WM.
The interpreters are the masters of logistics as far as keeping the RW peace. Still, the interpreters can only do so much. There are some things that the WM can do to avoid similar disasters that are not within the offices control.
Case in point, it is not uncommon for RW to initially enter into an agency program in a group. Since RW are very social and have tight family and friend connections, they will often seek the comfort and safety of the group in such a new venture. This can be a RW and her friend(s) and/or other female family member(s). Thus the pool a WM selects from is peppered with RW that know each other… the infamous RW grapevine.
That in itself is not a major concern. On the other hand, that coupled with a WM’s tendency to select RW in a linear order will often put RW friend(s) and/or family in back-to-back order. Now we are talking about potential big problems.
Indeed, selecting sequential profiles is perhaps not such a random event. As any one knows height, build, and looks all tend to run in families. Also, bird of a beautiful feather flock together. So the odds are that if you are attracted to one RW you will also like their family and friends.
So what are the damages? The first thing that happens is that you lose credibility as a serious suitor. Consequently, you may experience problems attracting or keeping their interest. You may even experience cancellations or no-shows from day one. If you are able to garner their interest you will have to work harder to make head way in the relationship. In general, the situation is like trying to run a boat race with knowing that your anchor is dragging.
If you are lucky the RW will tell you that you are dating a friend or related RW. If not, you may just assume that you are not the hot property that you thought.
So what is the remedy? You might try the following. When giving the agency your list of RW that you want to meet, list them in random order. If your list is in the order of preference, insure that you don’t schedule consecutively listed profiles for a same day meeting. If that can’t be avoided certainly avoid meet them back-to-back. A more direct route would be to bluntly ask a RW the circumstances of how they registered into the agency.
In Russia it’s a very small world, especially in local agencies. Even more so when it comes to RW…
