Ugh, and you though it couldn't get any worse! Remember all the hubbub about immigration reform recently? Well it sorta died down because an Ombudsman was appointed to review and make recommendations to CIS. The Ombudsman report in general was favorable and was especially favorable to K-1 visa holders, BUT . . . Yes, there is a BUTT. And this is what the head of CIS wants to do with K-1 visa holders, and I quote his words: "USCIS instead plans to propose to eliminate employment eligibility for K-1 nonimmigrants, in order to be more consistent with the overall intent of the K- 1 visa."
